Nature hair is now way of life

Excited - I officially have hang time on my ponytail, something's are worth the wait.
Loving my waves when my hair is pulled back; as time goes by, maintaining my natural curls becomes easier. Still using the same products and the consistency is helping my hair to grow.  Monthly deep conditioning appointment and frequent color touch - ups is a must.

Look who joined the natural world....Nikki

Until next time, let your curls flow...

Natural hair is now the norm

As time goes by, maintaining my hair becomes easier and I'm still using my same products. I'm certain being consistent with washing, monthly deep conditioning appointments is helping as well.

One year later

Time has flown by since me last post, I've colored and wore my natural coils a lot this year. You hear people say, going natural is liberating, not quite sure liberating - EASY yes! My products haven't changed however, I've added more essential oils such as Broccoli Seed, Black Castro. I reduced my visits to the salon from every two weeks to monthly. Making a decision like mine will depends on you, if you can maintain your hair. My hair has grown twice as long in a year. Until next time....

305 days later

Time has gone by, it's been 10 months since this journey began. During this 10 months I recently washed my own hair, wasn't as to bad like I thought. However, I don't want to get use to washing it myself until I cut my remaining relaxed hair off. I can see myself cutting my hair in August. Now that is going to be interesting, still thinking about a style once I cut it. Here are a few photos from my last 3 appts. Check out my waves, they are thick and sexy. These twist are going to come in handy in July. My gray hair is stubborn and only likes my hairline, lol. The above photos shows my hair in a damp state, I have about 3 1/2". This hair style is my first roller set 2 weeks ago, given my schedule and work out plan, my hair only lasted a week.

Habit starting: going to straight

They say forming a habit take 21 days or longer 8 months depending on the activity. In any case, my hair has started a habit of being curly, April and I shocked it during my visit on April 11th. We flat ironed it, wow, it has grown after being up for 3 months straight. Having the right products make the difference for anyone transitioning; we used Avocado, Rosemary and Nature's fast growth essential oils. My hair has really grown in 4 months: I really enjoyed having my hair down however, wrapping it every night; I can do with out at this time. Until next time....

Getting clean hair is HARD

As it turns out, washing a head of hair is time consuming and imagine when you have 2 different textures. With 8 months of new growth and many years of relaxed hair. My shampoo experience during my visit on April 2nd seemed different. This visit to my favorite salon was special because Darlene my friend who is also transitioning was there; look at her curl pattern, just beautiful. Having my hair is a protected style for another 2 weeks, I must admit my shedding is very minimum. I decided to get my hair style in a previous style but it turned out different anyway, lol. My good hair is coming along (sshh) don't tell Ms. Larina that I said that. She scolded me in the salon and said baby, "everybody has good hair"; I was like, not like my good hair, smile. This is a journey, I tell you, but enjoying the ride.

8 months and counting

My my time fly's by, it's been 8 months since starting my adventure to the nature world of hair. I notice more nature hair styles now more than ever before. Some are cute and others, not so much. This style was something that April and I put together since I wanted some twist to hang down. However, having my hair up for another 2 is just beautiful. My scalp is healthy, look at the new growth, I'm on my way, I have about 3 1/2", oh yeah. Avocado oil is working really well... I took my curls down 11 days after the appointment.
